Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount will begin significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction are a result of the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are expected, as the firm aiming to announce complete information during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.
Previous updates stated that Paramount planned to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
